有片／炸彈襲擊美國東北？　實為隕石空爆、相當於300噸黃色炸藥

美國東北部在當地時間週六（30日）下午聽到空中傳來一聲巨響，爆炸威力之大連民宅周為此搖晃，嚇壞了一些美國人。美國太空總署（NASA）後來出來解釋，這是一枚隕石在空中解體爆炸，並非從軌道墜下的太空垃圾等人造物。

NASA在社群媒體X上發文指出，這起事件發生於美東時間週六下午約2時06分（台灣時間週日凌晨2時06分）。爆炸時空中可見一巨大火球往地面墜落，當時有眾多目擊者直擊，且美國國家海洋暨大氣總署（NOAA）的「GOES-19」氣象衛星也成功偵測到其蹤跡。

NASA補充，這顆隕石是在麻薩諸塞州東北部與新罕布夏州東南部上空、高度大約64的高空中發生碎裂。據NASA推估，該流星在以時速逾12萬公里的高速移動進入大氣層時，碎裂解體所釋放出的能量，相當於大約300噸的TNT黃色炸藥，這正是導致整個新英格蘭地區都聽聞巨大轟鳴聲的主因。

由於流星運行的速度遠高於音速，當它們在大氣層中劇烈燃燒並崩解時，會產生強烈的壓力波，進而能夠在地面上聽見極具震撼力的「 音爆」。

這起突如其來的巨響嚇壞了當地居民，社群媒體上更有大批網友紛紛回報，表示「衝擊力道大到連房子都在搖晃」。

這起事件也讓人聯想到 2013 年時，曾有一顆火球劃過俄羅斯中部車里雅賓斯克（Chelyabinsk）的上空。當時那顆體積足足有一棟民房大小的隕石，在距離地面約22公里的高空發生大爆炸，釋出相當於44萬噸TNT炸藥的衝擊波。

當時那場大爆炸導致方圓520平方公里之內的窗戶玻璃集體被震碎，造成了超過1600人受傷。
